My Dad Is Cool
I was checking out things at the selby and I was happy to see they posted pics of Michael Stipe's home in Tribeca. My dad was in charge of installing all the electrical work 'cause he's pretty great at his job. He told me that Stipe is the one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. The R.E.M. frontman sat with my dad and they chatted about the city and life. Cool stuff, but it would drive me crazy to live in this place. I need some organization.

Listening To:
I blew my eardrum listening to this album a week ago. It's so fucking good! I was 12 years old when this album was released and I seriously doubt my parents would have bought me the CD, but I do remember watching November Rain on MTV after school and thinking Axl Rose was a god.

Virgins? Riiiighhhht...
"The Jonas Brothers have vowed to abstain from sex until marriage.
The popular band of brothers wear purity rings as "promises to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage," Joe, 18, tells Details magazine in their March issue.
The rings are "just one of our ways of kind of like being different than everybody else out there," Nick says.

"I got mine made at Disney World," Nick, 15 adds. "It's pretty awesome."
Oldest brother Kevin, 20, has a ring from Tiffany's. "It's pretty rock and roll," Kevin tells the magazine. "It's getting banged up a little bit because of the guitar."
Though Nick tells Details that he loves the trio's fans – the "screaming girls are awesome," he says – the brothers have told Usmagazine.com they enjoy being single."

Rodarte Fall RTW 2009

Kate & Laura Mulleavy's collections are always inspired by a myriad of interests. Their spring 2009 collection drew from japanese horror films and this season was no different. The Mulleavy's took ideas from the architect, Gordon Matta Clark, who in the 1970s (my favorite decade!) used abanonded buildings as creative medium in the form of deconstruction. He somehow managed to create fantasical imagery and so it's no surprise that Rodarte's collection imbues a feeling of biker chic from the future who can kick some serious ass.

Comment:
Since the designers, this season, seem to be inspired by the 80s, I need to say a few words on what I find to be a capital offense. I know the decade had moments of wackiness, which included high ponytails, polka dot designs, bright colors, and balloon pants, but that does not give designers the right to have clown costumes coming down the runway this season. This is simply unforgivable!
